How It Started
In 2009, Karen and Mike lost a family pet on the road near their home. That loss hit hard, and it drove them to find a better way to keep pets safe. They started Dog Fence Ontario to make sure other families wouldn't have to go through the same thing.
Their son Cameron grew up in the business, learning installations alongside his family. Even his grandfather pitched in on early installs. In 2019, Cameron took over as the lead operator. He's now personally completed over 980 installations across Southwestern Ontario, and he still does every one with the same care his family built the business on.

Cameron
Third-generation in the family business. Cameron took over in 2019 and leads operations across Southwestern Ontario: layout design, equipment selection, and making sure every dog’s training is dialed in before the job is done.
Brad
Brad runs the London area and treats every yard like it’s his own. His background in golf course maintenance means he knows his way around irrigation lines, buried utilities, and finicky landscaping. Nothing rattles him.
Mike
Mike co-founded Dog Fence Ontario with Karen in 2009. Retired from the Niagara Regional Police Service, he’s known across the region as “Dog Fence Mike” and is an award-winning Special Olympics fundraiser.
Karen
Karen co-founded Dog Fence Ontario in 2009 and keeps everything running behind the scenes: scheduling, coordination, and making sure no detail gets missed.
Larissa
Larissa is Cameron’s wife and handles the marketing, making sure families who need us can actually find us.
